Anime Zero Traits and Enchants
Traits, which many players call enchants, are rolled bonuses that sit on your equipped weapon. They range from the basic Power, Swift and Focus lines, each with tiers 1 to 3, up to Supernova and Deadeye, the two traits every tier list puts at the top. The balance patch of 4 October added four of the thirteen, Sniper, Overkill, Razor Focus and Deadeye, and reworked crits at the same time.
A reroll only changes the trait on the weapon you have equipped, so finish choosing your main weapon before spending rerolls in bulk. Tiers are the community's ranking, and the crit traits only pay off while you stay under the 60% crit chance and 275% crit damage caps.

How rerolls work
Each reroll replaces the trait on the weapon you have equipped and leaves your other weapon alone. Auto reroll keeps rolling until it lands a Legendary or Mythic trait and then stops, so it will not burn through a stack of rerolls past a good result. Trait pity exists as well and can be aimed at a specific trait from the trait index, and two of the newer traits, Ferocity and Sniper, are guaranteed within 250 pulls. With the 1,224 rerolls from codes, a new account can afford to keep rolling until a Rare-group trait such as Hunter appears and then point trait pity at its real target.
Update 1 also added a Keep Traits list to the reroll screen. If you own the Instant Spins pass, it also skips the reroll animation, including during Auto Reroll, which makes a long session much quicker without changing any odds.
Where rerolls come from
Trait rerolls arrive from three places. Codes give the biggest one-time stack, quests keep a steady supply coming, and every Story win rolls for a trait crystal whose chance depends on the difficulty you play.
| Source | What it gives | Notes |
|---|---|---|
| All 21 codes | At least 1,224 trait rerolls | TYFRIGID, SERVERLIVE67 and BENICE2ME pay 222 each |
| Daily and weekly quests | Coins, gems, spins or trait rerolls | Weekly goals pay larger bundles |
| Story win on Easy | 5% trait crystal chance | Lowest payout of the four settings |
| Story win on Medium | 10% trait crystal chance | Doubles the Easy chance |
| Story win on Hard | 20% trait crystal chance | A good farming setting for new accounts |
| Story win on Nightmare | 40% trait crystal chance | Eight times the Easy chance |
Redeem the codes before your first session so the 1,224 rerolls go onto a main weapon you intend to keep, then let Hard or Nightmare Story wins top the stack back up through trait crystals.
Crit caps, the crit branch and the skill tree
A critical hit deals 200% of base damage, and three hard caps limit how far you can push it: 60% crit chance, 275% crit damage and 40% cooldown reduction. Because crit damage starts at 200%, only 75 percentage points of bonus crit damage ever count. Deadeye's +50% and the Boss Reaper title's +8% already use 58 of them, and Overkill alone would take you to 240%.
Every weapon has its own skill tree. The first token on its damage node gives +15% damage, which makes it the best first spend on any new main. The crit branch adds 3%, 6%, 10% and 15% across its four nodes, and gear stacks on top: Sunglasses carry +11% crit chance since the 4 October patch and the Boss Slayer title adds +2%. Add your sources up before rerolling for crit, because anything above 60% chance or 275% damage is wasted. Focus 3 is the Common-group way to add crit chance and crit damage at once while you wait for a better roll.
Which trait to aim for
Supernova is the all-round best roll: 24% damage, 12% cooldown reduction and 20% attack speed on one trait, plus extra movement speed. Deadeye trades the speed for crit and pairs well with a crit-branch skill tree. Both rank Meta, so they justify a long reroll session on your main weapon.
Ferocity and Sniper rank S and are the practical targets because the 250-pull guarantee puts a ceiling on the cost. Overkill and Razor Focus rank A and suit crit builds: Overkill only adds crit damage, Razor Focus only adds crit chance. Hunter is a solid B with +9% damage, and Vitality's +15% health is the safe pick for a weapon you use mainly to survive raid phases.
Fortune is the exception to the damage rule. It gives drop rate, XP and coins instead of damage, so put it on a weapon you keep for farming materials and Infinite waves, never on the one you take into the Spirited Away raid.
